The rice fermentation liquid included in the KURAMOTO-NO-SHIZUKU Luxrice whitening Cream is an ingredient of Miyakotsuru pure rice sake. Rice fermentation liquid is a substance obtained by fermenting rice with the power of microorganisms to extract useful components for the skin. It mainly contains natural moisturizing effects from several types of amino acids and vitamins.

Rice fermentation liquid contains over 20 types of amino acids such as glycine, serine, and asparagine, as well as vitamins and minerals, providing various nutrients. Among them, kojic acid is a component derived from koji mold, which works in the fermentation process of sake, and it inhibits the action of the enzyme “tyrosinase” which is deeply involved in the production of melanin pigment. Tyrosinase acts on the amino acid “tyrosine” to change melanin into black pigment.

Additionally, ferulic acid, a type of polyphenol, is a component that inhibits the generation of melanin, which is the cause of spots. It is also said to be effective in inhibiting free radicals that are related to skin aging such as wrinkles. Furthermore, it contains 26 types of amino acid metabolites such as asparagine, alanine, and leucine, which are natural moisturizing factors for the skin, helping to retain moisture, preventing skin dehydration, and leading to moist and smooth skin.
